How do I get to Blossom & Bloom’s Studio? We are located at 7400 El Cajon Blvd. Suite 101-102. Send us a message if you need help or click here to find us on the map!
-
Is the studio available for rent?Yes! Send us a message and we'll coordinate. Whether it's for a rehearsal, improv group, or you're looking for somewhere to host your own classes. We'd love to chat! You can book now on PEERSPACE or contact us to coordinate.

What separates B&B from the rest?We are a non-profit organization that believes movement, music, & art is for everyone at any age, level, ability, or financial situation. It's also our belief that children should be given time & space to try out different creative outlets. Yes, we want to teach your child the technique and life lessons of dance, however, a well rounded individual should have multiple interests and be given the opportunity to explore them. Blossom & Bloom will NEVER participate in competitions. It’s against our core values. The director of B&B, Beverly, believes that there is nothing to gain when art becomes competitive. We will provide opportunities to showcase skills learned & perform but competition is unnecessary.
-
What are your class sizes? We want every student to have one on one time with the teacher, not just the assistant. Keeping class sizes small helps with that goal. It also creates a better sense of community rather than getting lost in the shuffle of large studios with over-packed class sizes. We strive to keep our class sizes under 10 and will never go above 15 to ensure that each student gets the one on one time they deserve!

Do you have a dress code?Yes, our dance class dress code can be found here: DRESS CODE. As for where to buy dance attire, there’s so many great options! For clothes like leotards, tights, and skirts, we suggest anything from Discount Dance Supply. Target and Amazon are also good options. For shoes we HIGHLY recommend avoiding Target and Walmart because they often provide dance shoes with soles that harm the dance floor and do not provide the proper grip needed on the Marley dance floor we’ve installed for the safety of our dancer’s bodies. Art & Music classes do not have a dress code.
-
What extra fees should I expect? All art class supplies will be included in the class fees. Music class supplies will be included for preschool & elementary students in group classes. For classes with a monthly tuition, a registration fee of $25 per student or $40 per family is charged at the time of enrollment and annually each Fall. Registration fees are not refundable with the exception of preschool students who are determined to be unready for dance and may receive a credit for the following season Costume fees, recital fees, optional picture day purchases and other fees will all be announced with ample time to plan and with the option to pay in installments. We never want someone to stop taking classes because of finances. Please contact us if you need financial assistance to pay for classes or fees. We have a scholarship program and would love to assist you.

Can I watch while my child takes class? If your child is easily distracted, we ask that you not observe from the windows. Doing so can quickly escalate off-task behavior leading to wasted class time. You know your child best. We appreciate your assistance in helping us create an environment where attentive learning can take place. We offer Parent Participation & Observation days where you will be in class and dancing with your child! These are scheduled at the beginning of the session and will be on our B&B calendar. Instructors may opt to allow parents into the studio at the end of a class to show what they’ve learned. This is at the teacher’s discretion. If you ever have a question or concern please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here for you!
-
Do you offer performance & showcase opportunities? Are they required?Yes! Opportunities to perform or display artwork are not required but highly encouraged. This provides a sense of closure to the season as students show what they’ve learned! Dates for these events can be found in our handbook & by following us on social media.
-
Do you participate in competitions?“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms.” — Zen Shin. We will never participate in competitions.
-
Do you offer discounts? We do! Refer a Friend to B&B and you’ll both get a referral credit! We also offer a multi-class discount that is automatically applied as you enroll.
-
When does enrollment begin?Enrollment is ongoing. However, the option to perform will periodically close due to costume order cutoff dates. Dancers can FULLY participate in class without performing.
-
Do you offer private lessons?Yes! Private lessons start at age 6. Request a private lesson here!
-
At what age can my child start taking class? We offer Parent & Tot style classes for as young as 18 months. Independent classes begin at age 3. We understand that your child may LOVE to dance at home, however, there are many factors that go into starting independent dance classes. Potty training, separation anxiety, social preparedness, and more play a factor into student readiness. Let them be little 😊
-
Do you offer adult classes?Yes! Whether it's Yoga or a Crochet Workshop, we love to provide opportunities for adults. Don’t see a day/time/genre that works for you? Get a group of at least 3 who want to participate and we’ll see about adding it to the schedule!
-
What if I don’t see a class that works for my schedule?B&B will consider adding an additional class to the schedule, if space allows, if you can bring at least 3 others who want to take that class. Otherwise, you can add a wish list class on our Class Request Form or at the front desk so that, with enough requests for the same class/time, we can work on adding the class.
